Our bool definitions come out of <linux/types.h>. <stdbool.h> shouldn't
be used for normal barebox code. We already include <linux/types.h> by
means of <common.h> above. So drop the <stdbool.h>

lib: list_sort: delete dead code ...

list_sort.c's core code should only change on sync with Linux, so we
don't really need separate testing code. The code doesn't compile as
we neither have a CONFIG_TEST_LIST_SORT symbol nor do we have a
<linux/random.h> header. Remove it.

i2c: designware: use proper type for writel argument ...

We need to write DW_IC_ENABLE_ENABLE (1 << 0) to the register to enable,
but instead we were writing true. This happens to work, but is quite
unusual. Make the code more readable.

Codebase is meant to be gnu89, but was only enforced starting
with bc4840e98b94 ("kbuild: add -Wmissing-prototypes and -std=gnu89
to KBUILD_HOSTCFLAGS"). Since then, this driver no longer compiles.
Fix this.

The i2c, MCI and reset controller peripherals are STM32-specific.
There is no reason to ask uses on oldconfig about it, thus make them

sandbox: specify sizeof(dma_addr_t) == sizeof(phys_addr_t) == 8 on 64BIT ...

sizeof(dma_addr_t) == 8 shouldn't introduce any functional change, because
we can't have DMA on sandbox. For now it suppresses benign warnings about
mismatched pointer and integer sizes when some headers are included.

sizeof(phys_addr_t) == 8 was already the case on systems with
__x86_64__. As CONFIG_64BIT now is set according to the bitness
of the compiler, we can migrate this fully to Kconfig.

Revert "of: Add of_property_for_each_phandle() iterator" ...

Codebase is meant to be gnu89, but this was only enforced starting
with bc4840e98b94 ("kbuild: add -Wmissing-prototypes and -std=gnu89
to KBUILD_HOSTCFLAGS"). Since then, use of this macro would yield a
compile error, because of the initialization inside the for-loop,
which is a C99 feature. There hasn't been any users for the macro
since it was added in 2016, thus drop it.

This reverts commit d5f9415.

net: phy: add uapi/linux/mdio.h from kernel for MDIO MMD access ...

The headerfile is used in the kernel for access of MDIO Managed Devices
(MMD) indirect access. Some drivers already use those device addresses.
We add the headerfile from the kernel and change the current users to
use the defines instead

startup: Fix do_autoboot_countdown() running multiple times ...

The comment above do_autoboot_countdown() states: "This function can be
called multiple times, it is executed only the first time.". Since
1973892533 ("startup: don't clobber original autoboot state") This is no
longer the case. Bring back the old and documented behaviour.

globalvars should be registered early so that code modifying them also
updates the backing store pointer. Move registering of
global.autoboot_abort_key, global.autoboot_timeout and global.autoboot
to an initcall.

devinfo: print device parent along with device info ...

Especially for "virtual" devices (e.g. wdog0 or mmc2), it is often
useful to know the corresponding hardware device.

Instead of always having to search through plain devinfo, just
include this information in the output when running
`devinfo device`.

kbuild: remove AS variable ...

The assembler files in the barebox are *.S instead of *.s, so they must
be preprocessed. Since 'as' of GNU binutils is not able to preprocess,
we always use $(CC) as an assembler driver.

Remove AS variable.

Linux also removed AS. See Linux commits:

watchdog: f71808e: maintain watchdog timeout occurred flag ...

If we experience a watchdog reset, the indicating flag should persist
till the Linux driver had a chance to see it.

The flag bit is special however in that writing 1 clears the bit and
writing 0 keeps it intact, i.e. :

Bit
read written  result
  0     0     = 0
  1     0     = 1
  0     1     = 0
  1     1     = 0

So in the bootloader, we should write a zero always. The OS on the
other hand can either write 1 or the old value after reading to
clear the flag.
